halloween opening scene analysis

the opening credits writing changes between the colors orange and red, the orange symbolizes halloween and the red symbolizes blood, the background os black, this symbolizes death and darkness.
also there is a pumpkin in the background which gradually larger, creating the effect that it is getting closer.
the 2 production company is "compass international pictures release" and "moustapa akhad". the main actor is Donald Pleasance, and is directed by john carpenter, and producer is deborah hill.
the opening scene is mainly one continuous point of view shot (POV), until the end where it reveals who the killer is, there is also the effect of a mask which makes it more realistic. when the knife was picked up, the visuals are blurred, so you cant identify that it is a child. the opening sequence and credits add up too about 7 minutes.
there is music but is very quiet and in a high pitch, it gets suddenly louder when he enters the bedroom.
at the end you see the killer as he is unmasked, this creates a dramatic effect as he is a child, the camera also zooms out and goes up.
